Overview
Do you want to explore the fascinating world of deep diving? If you are a certified scuba diver looking to experience greater depths, the PADI Deep Diver course is perfect for you.
This course teaches you the knowledge and skills needed to safely dive deeper, reaching a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 feet).
Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Deep Diver course you must be:
• A certified PADI Adventure Diver or equivalent
• At least 15 years old (12 years old for Junior Deep Diver)
• Medically fit to dive
It is recommended to have completed the PADI Enriched Air Diver course or have experience using enriched air nitrox to better manage nitrogen narcosis during deep dives.
About the Course:
The PADI Deep Diver course teaches divers how to safely plan and conduct dives between 18 and 40 meters (60–130 feet). During the course you will learn about the effects of pressure at depth, nitrogen narcosis, dive planning, and safety procedures for deep dives. You will also practice using specialized equipment such as dive computers, redundant air sources, and reels. The course includes four deep dives where you apply your knowledge, practice emergency procedures, and gain confidence exploring deeper dive sites.
